The Flash Picker is an indispensable tool for olive harvesting, as it significantly cuts working time and, as a result, labour costs. For this shaker comb, LISAM has especially created a compact pneumatic piston assembly, making the tool extremely easy to handle and particularly suitable for work among the dense foliage of the olive tree. Shaker comb harvesting causes negligible branch loss. The comb may be mounted on extension arms of varying length. The comb teeth are oval in cross section to maximise penetration between the branches and for maximum strength. In the event of breakage, the teeth can be replaced individually, even while working, ensuring that the tool is always in perfect working order. In harvesting tests carried out by the CRPV (Agricultural Research Centre, based in Faenza), The Flash Picker harvested 95 Kg/h of a local variety of olives in Brisighella, and proved to be: “…very comfortable, light and simple to use. The machine penetrates easily into the foliage and combs each branch completely, leaving behind no olives still attached to the tree…”.
